Okay, so I bought a car...

OMG! I love the car I bought last night...Its a 2001 Grand Prix V8, with leather seats, power everything...keyless entry...anti theft stuff...cd player...etc. Only 74k miles on it...and it comes with an 18 month warranty.

Its going to KILL me for 2 months though, with the down payment of $1100 on Tuesday. Then $600 on March 1...then payments begin on 4/1 of $343. I can handle the car payments once they begin...but getting through February will be a miracle, lol. But, its worth it. I needed a reliable car desperately! Its burgundy with dark tinted windows, dark grey leather interior...really nice.

I was at the dealer for 6 hours...my dad had to drive up from Moultrie to sign the title to my old car over, cuz it was titled in both our names.

Now, the really good part is I'm totally legal. They did the tags, renewed my registration and I pay for that at the end of February. They did my insurance, and I didn't have to pay a huge down payment. I start paying $105 a month for full coverage which is a bit high, but without the down payment, its the only thing I can do right now. I don't pay that until next week when I get paid, but it started last night. So they did it all for me. It was so cool. I don't even know how to act, lol...being legal again AND having a NICE ride.

Oh, and my son LOVES it...so you know it must be nice.

I'm still pretty manic. Was up at 5 this morning, cooked breakfast for dh and ds (YES, ME!) and washed my hair, cleaned my room some...got dressed, put on makeup...took my dog out (again...YES, ME!).

The buying the car decision was NOT a manic thing though. I did decide to put a bit more down than I wanted, but if you could see this car, and how nice it is...and the low mileage, and all, you would have done the same thing...I did everything REALLY slowly, and thought everything through. They even do a monthly budget with you, so they and you will know how much "disposable" income you have and if you can really afford the car payments. Its only financed for 3 years too.

Well, I just wanted to let you all know.

BTW: Folic Acid that pdoc put me on is REALLY good stuff. Gives you energy without making you agitated.

Love to all,

Keli

Congrats on buying that car, Keli! I'm glad you love it, and you certainly needed something to perk you up a bit. It doesn't sound like a manic decision at all. If it had been a manic decision you'd have driven up a brandy-new corvette or something totally unaffordable! At least, that's MY mania talking.

My father had an episode of bells palsey once, as did the parent of one of my DS's friends. It does go away eventually, but I think its pretty uncomfortable while you have it. Nothing permanent though.

Tell me about the folic acid. I'm struggling to maintain my energy. DS had a stomach virus yesterday and we were up and down all night. He of course woke up feeling fine today. I'm exhausted, feeling like I've got the bug now, and I've got a real estate closing at noon and still more documents that I need to prepare. I could use a boost of a legal, non-narcotic substance in addition to the caffeine (I'm on my second cup of tea).

Love, Mo.

Congrats on the car Keli!!
I am glad that you are legal, and have a car that is dependable.
I am looking to buy Rick a truck for him to take back and forth to work.
We bought our car (a 2005 Dodge Neon) in Aug of last year. Our payments are low, and I think I may be able to swing getting him a used truck. He likes old ones, that run, but need work. He loves to get grease and oil everywhere. LOL

The last time I took folic acid was when I was taking MTX. Lately energy has been a issue, but I am slowly working my way out of it.
Take care, enjoy your new car.
Have a good day.
love you,
