Hey there...just checkin in...still feel depressed...but I'm trying everything I can to fight it...am sleepy today, and I went to bed early...stupid Lithium. I went home yesterday and got my dog, went and got a sub, went to the park and ate, and walked around with her for a while...it was nice, until the stupid neighbor behind me tracked me down and then followed me the whole time, so we had to leave...now I have to find a new park or something...ugh. She's a lunatic, we hate her.

Then I went home, and kinda just went to my room, and then went to bed...finally fell asleep around 9:30 or so. But it was something, just making myself get out...today I'm working out with Sara. Though I don't WANT to, lol. I am not losing weight...and am really scared I'm gaining from the Lithium...haven't gotten on a scale though...I have a/f, and am SO bloated, so that probably would NOT be a good idea...

I know the depression crap will end...I know it...it always does...so I'm trying to fight it and not give in to it...its hard as heck to do that...cuz it just sucks...but, so be it. It will go away eventually.

I'm trying not to think of everything negative that pops into my head. That makes it so much worse.

Started back on the Flaxseed this morning...dunno why I stop crap...ask your friend which is better...Fish oil, or flaxseed oil...I keep reading different things...

Hey! Glad you are a little better. Try to think of 2 positives every single time you think of a negative - remember when I use to make you do positives? :p

Fish oil is better, but you have to make sure you get the de-odorized form or you will develop a fishy smell if you are taking an appropriate dosage. Ignore the bottle. He had me giving Savannah 400 mgs a day. An adult should take around 600 mgs, I believe is what he said. You should also be eating fish a couple times a week.

Diet ideas: LOT of fish, meats, veggies, low carbs. Eat a small portion every 1-2 hours. Take Vitamins!! Get a lot of sleep...at least 7-8 hours a night. For food ideas, here are some examples - my friend will eat a can of tuna (packed in water). Then he will eat 2-3 hotdogs (no bun or ketchup - although he does use mustard some times. Search for low carb or atkins menus online. He actually even will look up the carb values for foods he doesn't eat often to decide if he can eat them.

Buy a steamer. Not one of those big things that sits on your countertop, but a metal one that you can pop into a pan and put a little water under - then start steaming veggies. We actually cored a head of cauliflower the other day and steamed the whole thing (still in a clump). It was 1000x better then frozen. We also have started eating asparagus at least 1x a week. I had never had it before...has a taste similar to peapods (imho) and smells similar to sweet corn when cooking. We steam them until they are soft (not mushy) and put a touch of butter and salt on them. Yum! I bought a fancy steamer that fits into my stock pot (the steamer had 2 levels so I can steam 2 different things at once). I paid $14 for the steamer insert at a gourmet store - so you KNOW you can get it cheaper :)

thanks...i thought fish oil was better...i'll get some when i get paid, in a couple weeks...can't til then, so i'll keep up with the flax til then...i'm eating small things during the day...but night time is worse, so i'll do what i can...today i had a boiled egg, and a little chex mix...have an apple and some cheese for later...i am determined not to go back to complete starvation again...that always makes me worse too...makes me manic for some reason...i'm NOT doing all this over again once i get stable...i refuse it! its just been hell this time...

i get plenty of rest, and sleep...that's usually not a problem for me...but i don't take vitamins...only folic acid...i have a multi at home i can take for now...but i know there aren't enough of the certain kinds i should be taking in it...
