Hi, Teri, welcome to the board...I'm sure you'll find it to be a great source of support and understanding. Wow, I'm sorry you've been through such an awful time...unfortunately I can relate to a lot of it. I hope things will settle down for you soon...those are not pleasant experiences to be going through!

To answer your main question, I would bet that it's the Adderall causing the agitation and jumpiness...as you mentioned, it can have that kind of effect, especially in people with bipolar. I took a low dose of it years ago to try to combat the sleepiness I had from another med...but it made me very anxious and obsessive and jumpy too.

I'm sure all the new meds you're on and the changes in your life are going to take your brain some time to get used to, though...maybe some of the strange dreams are just related to that. But from what you're saying, it does sound like starting the Adderall may have sparked a lot of the problems you're having with not sleeping and being so agitated, etc.

Then again, I'm not a doctor...so definitely discuss all this with your psychiatrist...I'm glad you have an appointment tomorrow. I hope it goes well and that you get things figured out...let us know how you're feeling, OK?

Nice to "meet" you,

Rose

Hi Teri and Welcome !!!

I would say to call the pdoc who prescribed the adderall and let them know what is going on ASAP.
