further down?

Last night, I met with my tdoc She asked if I was preparing myself for the the end of my marriage and if dh had time to go out with friends this week, shouldn't he have time to call me? She also told me that our first group session is going to be very difficult for me. Add that to the fact that I got bad news about a friend yesterday and feel unwanted because of several interviews I have gone on, I feel crappy.

Dh is supposed to come home tonight. We will see how that goes. I have to face his family both days this weekend. Tommorrw is my sons 3rd birthday. I am a nervous wreck about that.

I have definitely had an experience like that. When I was a first-year teacher, I had a therapist who first off tried to incorrectly dx me as schizoaffective (the pdoc put her in her place), and she said things in my session that made me believe that she didn't believe I could be a good teacher. That was demeaning, saddening, and annoying. I had her replaced, and never had that problem again.

hey missy!!! that's part of why i can't do therapy. i mean, its one thing to hear the truth...but its another to have it drilled down your throat. ya know? esp by someone who doesn't know you...

hugs and love,

it sounds like she was trying to prepare you for possibilities...at the same time not helping you feel any better...it does happen.

I don't think it's the tdoc personally that brings me down, but definately they are there to bring up some tough issues that can bring us down.

Sorry to hear that you feel crappy and nervous.

Wishing you all the best and sending lots of positive vibes
