I hope evryone had a wonderful Easter. My "T"thinkd my depression is getting somewhat better.
I know I am cycling a lot(but not to extremes). What I do not know if I am cycling with my "t" or just pretending with my T. She is confused becaus I sound OK and then I tell I am doing that counteracts the idea of my being less depressed
I am easily stressed, anxious and do not want to do amything (even get out of bed)>Is SI considered a part of depression or mania.
I told my "T' that I wanted to stop my meds. Not just to do it,but to see what happensfor a day. She has suggested ECT and a small dose of an antipsychotic, but my psych doc will not hear of it.
She also suggested hospitalization. Insurance will not pay for it unless you are suicidal I think I may feel safe in a hospital for a few days.
I am taking Cymbalta, Tranzodone, Lamictal, Klonopin and Lithium. Thanks for you help. Fran

Hey Fran! I've missed you. It sounds to me like your depression is NOT getting better!!! SI can happen at any time in your cycle...manic or depressed or both. Its a release mechanism more so than anything else. From stress mostly...the stress of trauma, anxiety, or triggers. Anything really. Please DO go to the hospital. I know how low you get when you get this way. If you're thinking SI, you need to go somewhere safe. Okay? Tell them you are suicidal, so they will pay for it. Just be safe.

Your meds may need tweaking too...Talk honestly and openly to your pdoc. They can't help you until you're very very open. DO NOT STOP YOUR MEDS! Even for only one day...and you DO NOT NEED ECT. Okay? Don't let them talk you into that. Get some different meds before you try that.

How much Lithium are you on?

Be safe. Love and Hugs,

Keli
