Maybe it's all the candy...:(

I haven't really been able to do anything since finding out my mom is so sick. Easter came, and I sang at three out of four services (for one of them I was just too out of it), and it left us with all this candy. Since then, I've only been able to lie around and eat candy...and I've got a wedding dress to fit into in a few weeks...
I know on an intellectual level that my mom's illness has been a big blow to me, but a big part of me thinks I should dust myself off and do the )**)^&^&((& housework! My fiance' is really understanding, but it doesn't change the fact that the housework is not getting done.
What do I do?

Toss the candy and hire Merry Maids?
Seriously, this is NOT the time to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Ask anyone you think might actually help for some help with the housework. Explain why. Anyone that doesn't understand is a big old stinkyhead and I'll beat them up for you .
But seriously, ask for some help. Don't try to get through this on guts and bravado and all by yourself.
If you are having housework issues, don't beat yourself up for not doing it; get some friends to help or hire someone for a one time cleaning. It's not outrageously expensive; maybe $50 to $75, depending. Not something I could afford weekly, but certainly something that could be found if I had to find it, y'know.
And totally just throw the da*n candy away. My daughter has gotten tons of candy from school and whatnot and I just toss it (after she gets *some* of it).
I can't begin to imgaine how just utterly craptacular (and with reason) you feel right now. {hug}
its a time for grief...and you are entitled to it.
