I think I might be able to help those with Postpartum Depression.....DH & I were watching a piece on the news last night and the mom described her PPD, how debilitating she became (she had fears of harming her baby but never did...thankfully I never had the those feelings)
back in 1988 when DD1 was born I fell into PPD and like that mom we both had psychosis....
So I googled PPD last night and found a seminar in my area that I signed up for in May.....The coordinator will point me in the right direction to volunteer.
Like that mom on the news, I can remember back then not being able to express what I was thinking/feeling for fear that I would be locked away in a psych unit forever.....In fact, my XH's name is Dave and I found out then that there is a movie about mental patients named Dave and Lisa (I thought it was us, I never did see it
it was so scary to bottle those feelings so I hope that I can help someone get through this mental illness.
NJ Governor just passed a law that doctors must inform all expectant mothers about PPD...and our former acting Governor's wife Mrs Codey spoke out that she suffered with it

God could not be everywhere, so
