I've taken klonopin, and while it may address some of the symptoms you're struggling with, be careful. It's addictive. That may sound pretty harmless right now when you're thinking about the relief from these symptoms, but it can become a monkey on your back down the road. Enough about that.

I've been taking trileptal for the things you describe (hypomania) and it works really well. And its non-narcotic. You might ask your doc about this one first.

Good luck. Love, Mo.

Go ahead. Ask. I have taken it, and it would be perfect for mania. It's pretty sedating.

I don't think I would go in *suggesting* klonopin. I've taken it, but it was prescribed for anxiety for when I'm manic/depressed/in between.

I would just tell your doctor what you've been experiencing, and he/she might have better, less habit-forming suggestions.

There are better things for helping you sleep, too (e.g., Seroquel). Klonopin just more or less calms you down when you're freaking out.
