Well I have been on the phone all morning. And I cant get any help. Dr's wont help me cause I cant give them my ploicy info and that is cause bc/bs doesnt have me in th systme yet. So I am chasing my tail. I was all excited to get insurance and now i cant use it at the moment. I know i should give them some time to put me in but am i being to impatient? DH hr departmetn has assured me that i am covered as of 5/1 but that doenst matter to the insurance co. I found about 15 pdocs on the plan but the bad thng is that they all belong to the same group. So if there are so many there why is there only a waiting list? I could try my family dr but last time they wouldnt touch me with a 10 ft pole. SO i think they might be a lost cause. But i haven;t tried yet.

I am just ready to throw in the towel and just live with is AU NATURAL....lol It is a reals shame that the health indusrty has gotton down to money only, who cares if you are really sick or not, medical or mental. I am gonna give Gp a call and just see. THen I will give it a break, if i dont break first. Huggs to all

Jo

i know how you feel.
i live in n.y where you'd assume you could find anything.the only dr's who took my insurance were sideshow freaks who must have gotten their lisences online in a 6 week course.
so i pay almost 400$ for a decent pdoc & another 100 for a tdoc b/c that's the only good help i can get.
hang in there.

It's so hard in the beginning...you might have to wait for the insurance card to show up.

Nope!!! Can't throw in the towel just yet! Do you have a county mental health agency? Call them, or go there in person. Tell them your situation....tell them you need help until you can get an appt, and be firm! See what they can do! Other options are going to the ER. Tell them you are NOT suicidal, but you have to have meds...they always have a psych nurse practioner on call there...they can rx until you can get in to an pdoc. We have a shortage of pdocs here in Tallahassee, and people have to do that all the time.

Sorry I was late posting!

Love and Hugs,
