I need some honest opinions

I know there is a childrens BP board. I can talk about my youngest there, but it seems as if everyone there has kids under 10 from what I've seen. Would it bother you or do you think it inapropriate to talk about my BP teens here? They are 15 & 17.
Of course, everyone here is an adult. The teens are not little, but not adults either. We really need a teen BP board, but I don't know if anyone would post there.
So I want your honest opinions about if you think I should post here or there.
Thanks

Hi Jo and welcome to the Bipolar Disorder Message Board:) Personally speaking, I don't have a problem with you discussing your children's bipolar here. I understand the age thing with them being "too old" for the kids board yet not adults either. They need support just like the rest of us do and since we don't have a teen board, I say share away.
Again, welcome to the board. We look forward to getting to know you and your teens better.
Hugs,
Traci
JO!!!
Of course you can talk about them here!!! We all talk about our kids here...my ds is 15 and most likely BP, just not dxed yet...I've spoken to his pdoc while I was inpatient, and she said, yep, he is...but, I've not medicated him, or anything yet...he doesn't need it at this time.
Anyway, yes, come here...talk about what you want...this is YOUR board, as well as OUR board.
Then we can talk to YOU too!
Missed you!
Love and Hugs,
Keli
Hi. I lurk alot but wanted to let you know, it would not bother me either for you to talk about your children.
God could not be everywhere, so
I was very surprised to see your post, it was a God send. My 15 year old daughter was just diagnosed a few weeks ago and has started medication. She is on Wellbutrin.
I suffer from depression, but BP is so different. The mood swings are so diffucult to watch as a parent and sometimes I just feel helpless. It would be nice to chat with others who understand and I agree there should be a board for parents of BP teens because there are so many issues that teens go through only to add BP into the picture.
I look forward to chatting will all of you and having others to turn to for support
