Just wondering how you are doing. I hope all is well and you are feeling better. How did your pdoc appt. go?

Well I was diagnosed bipolar today (rapid cycling). The pdoc is great. He wants to see me again at 9 am tomorrow to see how the first night of meds goes. He put me on lamictal and seroquel. It's such a relief to see help coming but at the same time a lot to take in! I just worked my last 6 hour shift... he saidhe thought I should stop working and just be stress free for awhile. Thanks for thinking of me Peg and for your support everyone!

Meg,

I am so glad to hear you got to the pdoc and you think he is great- what a relief! I hope your first night went well and you are becoming more stable. Please let me know how last night went and how your appt. goes today. I'll check in around lunch- I have to work but I will get a break to read the boards (I won't post at work so I might not respond until tonight).

You are fortunate to be able to take time off- I hope it makes you feel better. Are you able to get disability pay to help out? We have a summer camp at my school over the summer but I don't teach it. I work most days, but only a few hours per day- doing cleaning or organizing, maintenance, all independent stuff- unless I am really restless or hyper, then I go in more just to keep away from everyone LOL.

It is a lot to take in. I'm glad you are ok. We will all stick together and help eachother out as best we can. We are here for you!

Hugs,
Peg

Hey Peg- The appt went well this morning. He said he was diagnosing me with bipolar II for now but it could become bipolar I since I'm so young... something to look forward to, haha. He also gave me seroquel in 25 mg so that I can take them on and off throughout the day to keep myself stable, so I get to play doctor! Right now I'm still living with my parents so I don't have to worry about having a job as much, which is good. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with finding a doctor, I hope it works out. Hang in there! Meg
