Ughhh dilemma!! So i talked to my pdoc this morning and i was like, the seroquel is making me so hungry!! i can't take it (i get REALLY angry/obessive about fat, it's a major trigger for me, like i threated to cut it off) anyway so he prescribed risperdal but the thing is i'm doing a lot better on seroquel! at least for the past two days i've been not at all depressed hardly but not really that manic either. i mean it's been good! so i hate to throw it off by switching, ya know? plus i read that risperdal can cause some kind of twitch that never ever goes away!!? i dont want that! ok so in an hour i either switch or i dont... or i wait till tomorrow night to decide.

thoughts anyone?

Meg, honey...I KNOW how frustrating that is, believe me.

Now, as for the meds...I like Risperdal much better than Seroquel...I never had any side affects at all, from it, except that it messed with my periods...but I didn't care about that. It was more effective to me than Seroquel, less weight gaining, and MUCH MUCH less sedating.

What did you decide?

Love and Hugs,

Keli

I decided to take the risperdal because I couldn't button my pants, how superficial is that? But then I weighed this morning.... I've gained ELEVEN pounds since starting the seroquel (in less than two weeks). I didn't even know that was possible. I feel just as hungry on the risperdal so far. Ugh I really don't know what to do. I mean 11 pounds in two weeks... by the time I'm finished taking it I'll be up to like a 60 pound weight gain. I just really can't handle that! Anyway, thanks Keli and Donna- I hope you two have a good day!!
