Hello my dear friend of 15+ years is bipolar and having an episode. I am not sure what to do but listen and try to help in any way I can. She has been cutting herself to relieve any pain she has, she won't kill herself and can't loose her job and she knows that. She is on her meds and has an appointment with the therapist next week but she is getting married, buying a house and selling a house and her kids are just awful to her (divorce) when she has them. She can't take all this.

Can you please point me to some information so I can understand her better.

I am so at loss her and hopefully you all can give me some pointers.

You all are amazing people.

TIA~
Colleen

Hi Colleen and welcome. I agree with what Donna has said. And while it may sound like it's not much, just being there to listen or a shoulder to cry on or whatever means the world to most people even if you don't read that into them. If that doesn't sound right, I apologize. Let me know and I'll try to clarify it.

As for the links Donna gave you the other one that she said Marci and I had is http://www.nami.org/
