Called Tdoc
| Wed, 06-21-2006 - 12:34pm |
Well I finally had a lucid moment and called tdoc last night about all this mess with my appetite and eating - or lack thereof. She told me the first thing she wants me to do now is go to my GP. It's like she's changed gears on me. I don't know

and what exactly is the gp supposed to do?

Anyway, I'm glad to hear though that you're getting help. Hugs, Kelli
Makes no sense to me either. But I did find out that I have a severe sinus infection. I don't know, maybe the doc figures that plays into the loss of appetite and refusal to eat. One good thing.......he didn't mention my smoking once during the appointment. I think that is a first in some 25 years. Of course, I have only seen him a handful of times in that time.
At any rate, doc thinks what's going on with me is physical. I'm going to call tdoc and bring her up to speed as she asked me to. Maybe she'll have me call pdoc. There could be something screwy with my meds causing this. I am on a lot of them.
Tdoc is doing a process of elimination thing I think. Starting with the easiest to remedy and saving the most serious remedies for last. And frankly I hope that this infection is the cause of this mess. I don't think it will be because the eating problem started before the other symptoms, but I will remain hopeful.
Hugs,
Traci

I hear where you're coming from. I guess I just have developed a level of trust in this tdoc that I haven't ever done with any other. She's never done me wrong so she must have had a reason for having me see him in the first place. I don't see it now and might never, but I'm pretty sure there's one there. There are a number of times in the past couple of years that should probably been put in the hospital, but due to my home situation being I'm a single mom of 3 kids and live with my mother who is an active alcoholic and the kids father has nothing to do with them I couldn't be in patient. My tdoc helped me through the crises and did her best to keep me out of the hospital.
Anyway I guess it's just a waiting game now to see if the gp was right and it was all just a severe sinus infection or if there's something else at play. I'm not too optimistic these days so, I could use some p & pt.
Thanks.
Hugs,
Traci
Hugs Traci. I will keep my fingers crossed that the sinus infection has more to do with it than you think. I hope you start feeling better on all fronts soon.

Traci,
I'm sorry that you are suffering with a sinus infection- those are not fun. I am glad to hear that you got in touch with the tdoc and she is so supportive of you and your home situation. It sounds like you have a wonderful relationship with her. Hopefully you will be able to get to the bottom of this soon and get yourself back on track with the eating. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of yourself.
