Doing the rapid cycling thing...

Well...I'm cycling again for sure. Up and down...down and up. The ups are okay for now...not too bad, but I'm flying high right now. Thankfully, I'm at work, and have been busy. So, the "i need to jump out of my skin" thing hasn't started too badly yet. However, the downs...oh the downs...I'm going down hard and fast and that is the worst part.
I think its mostly all situational. I have certain triggers that make me manic, and ones that make me depressed; as we all do. The key is knowing what those triggers are, and being able to recognize them. I've done this for so long now, that I know EXACTLY what is going on with me right now.
Its hard to live with, isn't it? When you feel good...TOO GOOD. Then you feel like you are living in hell on earth...right now, I'm good. But this morning, and last night, and Saturday night, I was off the chain depressed.
I am trying VERY hard not to "get myself in trouble". I have a harder time lately with that now that I am single...or single-ish, whatever you wanna call it.
Okay, I'm going to stop here...this isn't making much sense.
I just pray I don't get all irritable...again. That part was icky this weekend.
Being bipolar is SOOO much fun, right?

Boy do I know the lows..... I have more low's then highs unfortunately...But I to have come to recognize when they they are starting to switch. For the most part they are predictable. I hope that things level out soon for you.

IT'S NOT HAVING WHAT YOU WANT, IT'S WANTING WHAT YOU HAVE.
Have you called your pdoc? Maybe she can give you something different or adjust your meds. She knows how you cycle. I know a lot of this is situational, but the symptoms are still happening. Have you been thinking about a support group? They are free. It isn't a profesional, which would be great for you to see, but it is something to get you out of the house and maybe make a friend or 2.
Try not to get in trouble but if something happens we will have to deal with it, be as strong as you can.
Believe me, I know BP sucks.

Hi keli!
Yea, being BP is a blast and a half! I wouldn't trade rapid cycling for the world ;) About 5 minutes ago I was feeling pretty bad, earlier I was in tears, but now I'm feeling fantastic! And I'm sure in a few more hours I'll really be ready to go! From a purely observational standpoint, this would have to be funny to watch, don't you think?
Anyway, hang in there, the great thing about rapid cycling is that the cycle is sure to end soon.
Hey gal! I was just doing a little intermittent lurking and saw your message. I just wanted to send some positive thoughts your way. I have done the rapid cycle thing and its a wild ride. If you know your triggers you might try writing about them. Sometimes journaling helps me. You should see some of my entries from when I was on a rant. They are a site to behold. Anyhow, hugs...

Morgaine, HEY!
How are you? Its been so long!
Yes, I journaled last night...and I know EXACTLY what my triggers are...I'm just gonna ride it out.
Hugs!
Keli
Good job on the journaling! You've heard all the speeches about helping yourself and nipping things in the bud so I'll spare you......this time :-). I can't help but dole out just one more piece of advice, however. Do something nice for yourself. Its so easy to forget.
I'm doing great. Not perfect but not too darn bad. I've been experiencing an unusually high amount of stress lately and that made me want to come back here and chat a little.

Hi Morgaine,
I'm going to make this short and sweet. Good to see you. You have been missed.
Traci
Hey Traci. Long time, no see. Thanks for the welcome.
