I highly recommend...playing in the rain! I had taken my walk and got stuck in the rain, so I was already soaked. So, I came home and told the kids to come out with me. We were putting boats and sticks down the gutter and chasing them. The kids were putting their feet in mud and ds and I were playing catch with a football while dd was playing in the gutter. We had a great time! It brought back memories of childhood (actually, good memories, which are rare). Last night I took the kids for a walk with me. We all took our umbrellas and went for a walk in the rain. It was quite refreshing!
My neighbors all think I'm nuts...I looked like a drown rat...no other parents in our community stay outside with their kids; I NEVER let my kids out alone. SO, when neighbors drove by, they looked at me and just shook their heads. We live in a townhouse community on a pretty busy street...so many people saw me. Well, I don't care, I was having fun for once. It was nice to just forget about everything, let go, and just play.
So, if you live in rain-soaked PA like I do, or you get a quick summer shower in your area, go for a walk or stand out in the rain (in your back yard if you don't want the neighbors talking about you LOL).
I hope everyone has a great day!
Luv,
Peg

it is fun, isn't it?
I have been letting the kids out just after a storm (when the roads are full of water) and just let them let loose...its so much fun to watch !!!
who cares what the neighbors think...we forget as we get older to have fun.
God could not be everywhere, so
How are you doing lately?
Hope all is well-
Meg
I heartily agree!
My kids and I swam in the rain the other day and loved it. It was not a thunderstorm so it was safe. Plus we were getting wet anyway. It was hot so why not. I agree. With all the rain we are getting, we have to make the best of it.
