I went to the ER on tdocs very strong suggestion today. I had another hallucination on Saturday and she told me to go. The ER seemed very eager to admit me, but by VA state law could not because I did not pose a threat to myself or others they couldnt. But, we seemed to find out the cause of the abnormal gait, broken speech and slurred speech seem to be a result from

Traci,

I'm glad you made the choice to visit the er. Hopefully you will be able to get your thyroid under control so that is not adding to your condition.

Are you considering voluntarily going i/p? I didn't know where you were with that thought, or even if it is a thought. I know you have the kids to take care of, so going i/p poses its own issues.

I really hope that things start to settle down for you soon. Did the er suggest or provide any antipsychotics or other meds to stop the hallucinations? I can imagine that is a very scary thing to go through. I was freaked out by the flashback I had a few weeks ago- it still gives me the creaps!

Please take care of yourself.

Peg

Peg,

The idea of i/p moreso going i/p voluntarily has been by tossed around in my mind more times than I can count. I hope that with the ER visit today that all will be solved. I will also hope that these hallucinations go away too.

The ER doc didn't suggest/prescribe any anti-psychotics. Who knows, I may already be on one. I'm on so many I haven't taken time to check them out.

The hallucinations were strange in a way that I knew they weren't real and could maintain a grip on reality. So I don't even know why they all consider a hallucination. Anyway, thanks for the compliments and well wishes.
