Hi, I'm not even sure this is the right board to post on, but I want to see if some of the things I've been going through could be considered bi-polar.

Hello Brianne! I actually know somewhat how you feel. My first H was British and our DD is dual nationality - both Brit & American with 2 passports, 2 birth certificates, the whole nine yards. I moved to England, got married, got preg and had her all within a year. We lived WAY out in the countryside and we had no car - a good hour by bus to grocery shop. To make matters worse, his family was not remotely receptive and XH turned out to be a pathological liar. So, for 2 years, I was extremely depressed (they said post-partum but it was my whole life) until I left and came home. I have lived in other countries too and find Europeans are just as you described in your post - all over, not just Italy or England. They think completely different than Americans and are not constrained by the same customs. Imagine my shock when a complete stranger walked up to me on the sidewalk in the city center to tell me I was doing my pram wrong yet I was not allowed to yawn in public (considered extremely rude!)! They also have different attitudes on mistresses (not that he has one), family (much more communal than here - you know, it takes a village and all), and many, many other things. People do not realize just how different it is over there due to the perception that "they" are so much like "us" - not really!
When it comes to the other thing - the mental health thing, I am sure everyone will tell you the same. We are not docs and therefore can't dx. If you are truly concerned and feel it is out of control and you are afraid, please see an experienced doc.
Good luck and Hugs! Ciao, Kelli

Hi Brianne and welcome to the board. As Kelli pointed out we can pretty much only give advice and support here. We're unfortunately not doctors and therefore can't diagnose. It sounds like rage is your primary symptom though.
