Okay...so, my son came home from the beach with his aunt and uncle from Vegas, last night. He brought home about $1000 worth of clothes and shoes, that they'd bought him...EVERYTHING. They brought me about $400-500 worth of things too. Designer clothes, purse, wallet, two pairs of shoes. I was so excited. I'm a real size 16 again!!! But, I need to lose about 10-20 pounds in order to look GOOD in the clothes. So, I'm back to the gym tonight. The clothes are fall/winter, so its perfect.

Now...let me back up and say that they have money. They live in Las Vegas and own a cleaning business...Linda, SIL, has 2 army base government contracts for the next 10 years, among other clients...she pulled in 1.8 million last year. Didn't net that much, because of overhead, but its still a ton of money.

Okay...they LOVE my son. LOVE him. They talked to me about his college education, and if he will come out their to live with them for senior year (or junior) so he is considered a resident, they will pay for his education at UNLV.

I was shocked beyond belief. They say he has a great head on his shoulders, is super smart, and respectful and would thrive out there. That he is very goal oriented and they are going to help him.

I would also be going, quitting my job, and working for SIL until I figured out what I want to do. Which can be anything.

Linda told me I should be SO proud of myself...for raising a good kid...for maintaining under everything I have to deal with. That I didn't have to do it alone, when they were there for us and wanted to help.

They are a biracial couple too, and have a son who is three...and I think that's why SIL took to my son so much.

We're going out for Christmas, to go skiing...they're sending the airline tickets, money, etc. I can't wait.

I told Mike that we would go through 10th grade here...not make any decisions about anything, like when to move, until we had a chance to let it all sink in, and figure out everything.

My only hesitation is leaving dh...and my mom. But the opportunity is too great for me to dismiss. I hate Tallahassee, always wanted to go out west...I need a drier climate for my joints, and pain.

Anyway, its amazing. Oh, btw, they have an au pair!!! She was with them the entire time. LOL.

I am not manic...this is not a spur of the moment thing...It will take great planning and it will be about 9-10 months of planning and decisions. Just wanted to put that out there.

What do you think?

I think it sounds wonderful, and you've got plenty of time to mull it over and make the right decision!

Bless them for being his fairy godparents!
