I recall some of you mentioning herbs that had some evidence of helping to stablize mood. I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called.

Anyhow, I wanted to get some this weekend.

Nevermind, I found what I was looking for (St. John's Wort & Omega 3 Fish oils).

I swear I lost one too many brain cells in college. ;0)

Because I've got swiss cheese for brains (and darned little of that) I can't remember if you're also taking prescription meds.

Currently I'm not on Meds. I am taking my soon-to-be 8 year old to the PDoc on Sept 12 (This PDoc is in a totally different practice than my old one). Basically I'll see how her appointment goes, perhaps ask some questions to see how he would approach meds. Then we'll decided from there whether I go back on meds or not.

In the meantime, I'll see if either/both of these herbs can take the edge off my moods. Plus my dh, himself, has trouble with mild to moderate depression.

Yeah, I read through a whole list of things it helps with... like inflamation, menstrual cramps, and other stuff I've already forgotten...

I wonder if this memory thing (When I was on meds, I'd have trouble remembering if I took my meds or not), is part of the bipolar or if it's another way my brain is messed up.

If you're considering meds, I'd hold off on the St. John's Wort.
