most of you know my dr. is over the top expensive...so are my meds.i go to him b/c i've been to almost every other.last time i was in real trouble he seemed to misunderstand my emails to him to the point that it appeared he hadn't even read them..just skimmed them.even my tdoc agreed.last time i ran out of meds & he called in my prescription there was an xtra imitrex i hadn't asked for(cost:30$ after insurance)i later asked him why & he said"for your headaches"(what headaches?????)i ran out of meds to my surprise again & sent him an email listing the meds, the mg amounts & the pharmacy's phone#...my h picked them up & included was the imitrex again & a med i don't take & never heard of.
the pharmacy won't take this back & it's 70$ worth of meds that are simply garbage.i wrote pdoc a scathing email & i'm cancelling my next week appt..i got meds & i have no other reason to see him & right now i hate him.i think he owes me a mother of an apology & THIS just adds to my current depression.it's lousy being me.he wanted me to learn to stand up for myself & i'm doing it to a fault.i even plan that the next time that married idiot who has intimidated me for so long calls me (which will be any day now..the calls on my cell have already begun)i'm going to tell him what a peice of **** he is & if he ever calls me again i'll have to either tell my husband or his wife...his choice.i almost can't wait.

I can understand your frustration, I know meds are WAAY too expensive to be buying one you don't need!

i have to disagree.this was clearly negligence.i had listed the 3 meds i needed along w/ the strengths & the pharmacy's number.i not only got the imitrex but a med i had never heard of.suppose i had taken it as directed along with my other meds?it's especially negligent when he determined from my last appointment that i'm suicidal.
if i were a dr. & someone on my staff made such a mistake it would be grounds for termination.you DON'T play around with medication mistakes.the results can be fatal or worse.
thanks for the good thoughts tho.i appreciate it.

You're right, I missed about the other med--it is negligence (although it still could be other than his--maybe), but he's ultimately responsible for the errors made in his office.

I agree with you about the negligence. However, and especially with your pdoc's past history, you should check your rx's before you pay for them and that way you can turn down the Imitrex - which is a powerful migraine med. You do not have to accept the meds if they are incorrect.

Take care, Kelli
