A week in the life of... (rambling)

or 6 days anyways.

Me thinks I'm hypomanic.

My two older kids started school Monday (full days) and my youngest starts Head Start (half days) tomorrow. 4 hours to myself!! Yay!

I'm supposed to be cleaning, but I keep getting sidetrack, and when I am cleaning I keep finding myself trying to clean several things at once. And my mind -- well it's bouncing from things I have to do in the kitchen to how to approach the bedroom to what we're having for dinner to our upcoming trip (Labor Day Weekend) to Eureka Springs, although we might go to Texas instead and then there's our credit card -- I still need to make the reservations for the hotel. Daughter's watching Spongebob Squarepants, his laugh is really grating.

Our phone is on it's last legs, I think. Earlier I couldn't dial out. The phone would still ring, but I couldn't hear anyone on the other end (turned out it was my dh and he was saying hello on the other end). I decided to rearrange the batteries then all of a sudden it worked again. Then I tried to recreate the problem by removing the batteries, but it worked without the batteries. My thinking is that the batteries only power the Caller ID.

On Monday we got our puppy (we've had her for 4 months and she was 1 month old when we got her) vaccinated, dewormed, nails clipped, and licensed with the city.

Been spending my free time, doing word puzzles and reserching select history topics. Currently I've been reading on the history of Manhattan, NY and looking at old maps compared with modern maps. I kinda get obsessed with these little self history lessons, I think I bore my dh taking about it -- And I try to restrain myself from blathering on and on. I try to compare my interests to his. And to be honest they're not really similar in intensity. He tends to vary his interests (books, movies, TV shows, computer studies, and computer games) whereas I tend to take one thing and focus on it for days to weeks.

It's interesting how at some points in my life I'll miss a few hours of sleep and I'm like a zombie the next day, and at others I'm more energized. Guess that's the nature of the beast. It's been 5 days since I've slept more than 4 hours/night, and it's only been 3 hours the last 2 nights.

Golly, I've written more than I intended to. Besides I gotta get back to my cleaning, sitting at the computer is about to drive me nuts.
