Seroquel

I have been taking Lexapro 20mg for a few years now. I got the script from a general practicioner Dr who died a few months after writing the script, and I kept getting my new general practioners to refill that script until recently when I "got caught" and diagnosed. Anyways, they've given me Seroquel. The Lexapro is going to continue too just with Seroquel added in. I'm a little uncertain about starting this Seroquel stuff. Has anyone taken it and have anything good or bad to say about it?
Thanks

I've taken seroquel and while it works, it was hard to get me to a therapeutic level and then once that level was reached it was very sedating. Now I know it works different for different people, so I hope that it works well for you. Keep us posted.

Seroquel is a good antipsychotic med, but its quite sedating. I love it because it helps me sleep very well, but hate most other aspects of it...it takes a lot to work for stabilization. I'm wondering why you didn't get a mood stabilizer instead???

oh my gosh I loved my seroquel!!!! It was the first (and only) time I felt normal and it was amazing. But.. I had to stop because I gained 12 pounds the first two weeks and I just couldn't take it. I have real body issues. I will hope that it works as well on you as it does with me except with no side effects!! Be careful about what you eat! When do you start? How many mg? MMM seroquel I wish it had worked.

started it Monday with 100mg that day, then increasing each day until day 7 where I will be all the way up to 800mg a day (4 of the 200mg pills that day). I feel...blank. That's all I can come up with, I just feel blank. The absence of irritable, anxious, down, and all those things.
I'm worried about the weight thing too. I'm already overweight and taking the Lexapro which I think also contributes. I really don't over eat. I eat pizza and spaghetti and stuff, but not every day and not the whole thing :P
