Does anyone feel like they were misdiagnosed? Most of the time I feel depressed and have very few "manic"-like behaviors. Just curious...

Thanks for any comments,
JESSICA

yeah, I'm 31 and was just diagnosed a few days ago. So although I'm 'going with it', I'm still not 100%. I do have the waaay down and the uupupupp / agitation swings, but it goes every week or couple weeks, not in 6mo phases. I don't do alot of whacky stuff when I'm "manic" either, but I do have a hard time controling impulses when I'm up.. sooo, I guess I probably am. /shrug

Hi Jessica,

Many times I have wanted to not be bipolar, but I so am. If you are having strong concerns about this, talk to your doctor. I did once, and they just kinda laughed at me...cuz I am very much classic BP...they take me very seriously. Your doctor should too.

Do you mind talking about how you were diagnosed and whether you are on meds or not??? We're very caring here.

Love and Hugs,

Keli

Hi Jessica! I am just the opposite of you - all highs and very little lows. I rarely get depressed because when I do get low, I go straight to the bottom - do not pass Go. I think we all question it on a daily basis, expecially if we are feeling good and "normal".
Take care, Kelli
