I HATE red tape!!!!!!!!

I have had so much trouble getting financial aid for school it's not even funny. First I was denied because of an illness I had 20 years ago which caused me back then to drop out. Then I appealed the decision and was granted the appeal which, I thought, meant I was approved for financial aid. Good, right? Well yesterday I get a letter from the SAME person who told me I won the appeal saying I have been denied financial aid!!!!!!! WTF?!?!? So I've got the 2 letters - 1 saying my appeal was granted dated Aug 31 and 1 saying it was denied dated Sept 6 and 1 phone call in to these idiots to find out what is going on. I only hope that whoever I talk to has a clue, because from where I stand it doesn't appear that they know what they're doing.

Then, my 16 yo dd comes home in absolute tears yesterday from school. It appears that a group of freshmen decided to accuse her of having lice. My dd has baby fine super oily hair with a dandruff problem to boot. So these girls decided to be mean to her. I checked her head just to be sure and my guess was right. Her dandruff has flared up again and no matter whether she washes her hair once a day or 5 times the poor kids hair is oily soon after it dries. So I went out and bought her intensive dandruff control shampoo to at least get that under control again. I can relate to her plight because I had the same problem when I was in school and was ostracized just as she is being now. So that upset me too. Add to that we are both bipolar and it just compounds all of it.

I can only hope today goes better for the both of us. Sorry I haven't been around much the past few days. I've been trying to get caught up with my class work because I started classes late due to the financial aid mix up and we started back to school this week which means I'm back to work now. So I'm trying to juggle everything and get into a routine again. I'll try to get on here more often and once I get a routine down it shouldn't be a problem.

I am so sorry those kids were complete a**holes to your dd. That is so terrible!! I had oily hair as a teenager (those hormones!) and my mom used to tell me to be grateful because with all that moisture in my skin, I'd have less wrinkles when I got older. I don't know if that's true but no one can believe I have a 19 yo!! HAHAHAHA!!!
Pug hugs and more, Kelli

Traci,

I hope you get that crap straight at the college. This is BS what they are doing to you. Can you call this person's supervisor or someone higher up?

Your poor dd. Kids are so cruel. They don't care how much they hurt someone else. I know this sounds weird but an old friend of mine used to have problems with oily hair and she would wash her hair 2 -3 times a week with Dawn dish liquid and then the other times with head and shoulders or Selsum Blue. Just something I thought I'd throw out there.
