Daughter diagnosed
| Mon, 09-18-2006 - 2:33pm |
The PDoc couldn't say yet whether it is severe ADHD or bipolar but did officially call it Mood Disorder NOS (not otherwise specified). And because of the bipolar history, he decided to start with Abilify and asked to see her again in 2 weeks.
On the other hand (or maybe in addition to), my daughter's school (specifically the psychometrist) has said she has mild retardation based on the WISC-IV and on a Adaptive Behavior (ABAS-II) as well as disabilities in the areas of Speech and Language.
:-(

I am sorry to hear about your daughter.
Many hugs, prayers, & positive thoughts your way, Kelli
Many hugs honey!
My ds was dxed with severed ADHD when he was 4 and medicated. Now, that he is 16, we think its BP.
We understand and we're here for you!
Love and Hugs,
Keli
(((((((((((((((((Tallyn)))))))))))))))) It's often hard to hear diagnoses' regarding our children. But, take comfort that the diagnosis was made and dd is on the way to finding a cocktail that works. And it sounds like the school is on board as well. It sounds like everyone involved wants to get a handle on what's going on with dd so that they can help her in the best way they can.
Please know that you can continue to come here to post anytime. We're always around to listen and provide support. Hang in there hon. It will get better.
Hugs,
Traci
