does anyone take an antipsychotic/antidepressent that they like?i know its my docs job..however i'd like to come in & say "can we try...?"as opposed to any more experimenting.last night she upped my geodon from 60 to 80.
ok...you know when the worst part of being sick is knowing you AREN'T gonna die.that sick.helpless to help myself at all sick.that was at midnite...it wasn't till 10 am that i felt i could use my legs.
she just returned my call & asked me if i would like to go back to 60...i said i'd try but i have NO intention of doing so.
i'd rather shave my head than risk feeling that way ever(point being:i really don't want to shave my head.)
i'm taking my lithobid & so far that's ok.i have alot of facial swelling but i don't think i gained any weight.
so what would YOU tell me about that works like geodon but doesn't hurt as much?.

Hi! I am currently on a combo of Lamictal and Prozac and 50% of the time I think it's kinda working, the other 50% (like today!) I don't think it is at all.
Wellbutrin - gave me severe hives
Serzone - loved it but it kills your liver so they shelved it
Buspar - made me so sleepy I couldn't function

I would like to find a pill just for irritation/anger (that's not, say, Xanax!), so if anyone knows one like that, please contact me!!!

Pug hugs, Kelli

20mg of Lexapro has worked wonders for me over the past couple years. It completely knocked out the high aggitation / anger. I'm taking that along with 200mg of Seroquel at night to help with sleeping and whatever. I haven't noticed anything with Seroquel other than I feel like I'm actually getting a nights sleep.

Anyways, I hope you find what works best for you soon! I remember doing the musical-meds with Prozac and Paxil before I ran into Lexapro through by ex-general practitioner (ex because he died and was in KY).

Good Luck!

I am just finishing my "starter pack" so only at 100 mgs. Pdoc said the normal dosage is usually 200. I check in with him again in a few weeks. Apparently I need 200 mgs because this 100 is helping but not enough. The problem is, is I don't know if it's just me or the medicine! I know with all the crises I've had lately, I've handled them much better than normal, even dh said so, so I am thinking it's working somewhat!
