Okay, here goes...lol.

Ultradian ultradian cycling Bipolar I - treatment resistant

Thats the formal dx from pdoc and the hospital evals.

Just means I rapid cycle and meds don't do much

Your "mixed" means you have more mixed episodes of depression and mania...sucks, huh?

When I was 17 yo, I was BP 1. I am now 39 yo and told I'm "classic" BP 2. So things are looking up, I guess, right?!?!?!?!

I'm bipolar I- most recent episode mixed. I tend to stay in the mixed/rapid cycling range or hypomanic/manic range. I get depressed, but not often by itself.

Dunno. Was given a script for Seroquel from a Nurse Practitioner and told that I screened positive for possible Bipolar. So.. I believe it would be BP2. I have mostly depression. I have a few episodes of hypomania, but usually just fighting depression.

BP 1 with rapid cycling.

I was told that I was treatment resistant due to becoming immuned to meds quickly.

BP 2 with rapid cycling, which means if I forget even one dose of my meds I'm a basket case.

My dx keeps changing. I went from BP II to BP I and now I'm back to BP II w/ mixed episodes. I figure as long as they find a med or meds that work I don't care what the dx is anymore. I used to obsess about the dx but all that did was get me more worked up so I finally just let it go. I don't like being BP of any degree, but I am and that's that.
