Just got back from pdoc...

The first suggestion out of her mouth was ect. I shot that down very quickly. So then she came up with 2 other options. The seroquel is very sedating and there's a med that counters the sedation she said we can try. The only problem is it's new and very expensive and insurance companies don't like to pay for it. The other option, which is the one I went with, was to stop the seroquel, go back on the zyprexa and add cymbalta. She's leary to do that for fear of causing me going into a manic episode, but understands that I can't afford the other med without insurance so we're trying the a/d. Keep your fingers crossed. If this doesn't work I will be calling that new pdoc that tdoc gave me the number for. I also found out after further discussion of the topic, I may not even be eligible for ect even if I did want it because I had seizures 20 some years ago. So what I used to curse for ruining a portion of my life I now thank because I really don't want ect. I've heard too many horror stories about memory loss and the like. My memory is bad enough without adding major loss to it.

Thanks for listening.
