So I called her...you know, trying to be all proactive and get help before i end up driving my car into a tree, or jumping off a bridge. She just calls back and is forcing me off my Lexapro!!! Its the only thing keeping me from being completely suicidal. She said if I get suicidal, then go to the freaking ER. DUH. But, why should I even have to go through this?????

I also have to increase my Li to 600 mgs, twice a day, sleepy or not. I can't function as it is right now. I'm exhausted, stressed, and in a HUGE mixed episode.

I know that a/ds cause agitation. I have known this all along. I have to deal with that, because the stupid BP rapid cycles, but my depressions are CRIPPLING. Paralyzing.

She says that the Li will "control" it all. YEAH FREAKING RIGHT.

I'm so frustrated. I can't change pdocs...there are none here taking patients.

She also said I'll "probably" go through withdrawals...I CAN"T DO THIS RIGHT NOW!!!

And she fussed about me taking more than my rx'd dose of Ativan...its the only thing that's kept me from doing bad things to myself...and she said she would take it away from me, if I couldnt just take the right amount (2 a day...). Said they won't help my mood. UMMMMM, yeah they do.

This sucks so badly. I can't do this. I can't can't can't.

ok....you can do this, you will do this !!!

stay on the lexapro, increase the lith and give it a few days...you are stressed to the max and taking away the a/d is probably not going to do anything for you...you know your body/mind better then she does.

Keli, you will be ok and you can do this.

This is what I would do. Take the Lexapro for 2-3 days while you increase the Li. Then, cut the lexapro in half and take half for a couple days and then stop. That should prevent the withdraws.

Once you start the increase in Li you won't need the Ativan as much, so you will probably be able to take the Rx'd amount and maybe less. I know for me the Li helpes alot with the anxiety and it helps me to relax some. There are times I need to take a Xanax or two though. But I don't need the Xanax or something to help me sleep as often as I have in the past.

Try to rest tonight. Do something relaxing, watch a movie/TV, take a bath, read, anything. It will be ok.

I love you

Tina
