~I did not know that I was Clinically Depressed~ may Trigger !

This is Raindrop again. Last year, for several months, I became clinically depressed, but I was not aware of this at first. We sold our house and moved to an apartment. My husband suggested one day, that it was time for me to see a doctor. We made an appointment with a psychiatrist. On the day of the appointment, we were on the highway, and I jumped out of the car. It wasn't planned. I wasn't driving. I have no memory of doing it. (Several months before, I ceased taking my medicine.) I was sent to a psychiatric hospital after being attended at a regular hospital for several severe injuries. At the psychiatric hospital, I was given ECT treatments for six weeks. I have minimal recollection of all of these events. Eventually, I was sent home. My family members supported me at all times. Including the Christmas season. At first, my physician advised me that I was not to be left alone for three months. I could not believe what had happened. I became very afraid. Eventually, I had to be left alone. My husband's emergency vacation was up, my daughter had to go back to college, and my best friend had to fly back home. There I was all alone. To this day, I am still in recovery. I still see my psychiatrist and psychologist. I take several medications. I do the best I can, but my life is changed. Maria
PS : Above Post is part of my story. Since last year I came a very long way. I had to relearn many things all over again because of my memory loss due the ECT treatments. I had to learn how to talk , how to eat ,how to dress myself , how to work on the computer again and how to walk again .It was a long and hard road but I never gave up. Today my recovery is up to 95%.I am not there all the way yet but one day I will be. I'm still working on my walking and other things. I am taking my medications and I keep seeing my therapist. Yes , I went through a lot but I came out stronger than before.

Nomatter what happen in your Life please hang in there and keep going forward.I know it is not easy but you can do it . There is always light on the end of the tunnel.

God bless you - Love, Maria
