Yesterday I went out with my sister for lunch. We were sitting there having our meal and she says " guess what I found out 2 weeks ago" I said what? She said, we are Italian. I looked at her with a what are you talking about nut case look...lol
She told me my dads dad, who I thought was my blood grandfather wasn't. That my dads real dad is Italian. I found out a lot yesterday. I found out a lot of my family is not blood related to me, though they are still my family. But it was a shoker to find out I don't know who my dads real dad is and what his last name is...what could have been my last name. Everyone who knows about my dads dad is dead. So now my sister and I don't have anyway of finding out anything about him. no one even knows the mans name. While my "Grandfather" was in War World II my grandmother had an affair and got pregnant. Her husband, my "grandfather" gave my dad his last name. It is crazy.
Now I know why my grandfather never took to my dads kids. My dad and him used to get into arguements all the time on how his kids were treated and how my dads sisters kids were the light of it all. I used to think my grandparents didn't like me but it was the tension with my dads birth father that made it the way it was. My grandparents still had no right shunning us kids but now I know why.
I know this doesn't change who I

I'm sorry you are feeling that way.
God could not be everywhere, so
This is such a double edged sword. How did your sister find this info out and from whom? That might be the first step to take in finding out your real last name.
Its good you know why things were weird now though. In my experience(lots of family secrets) there is ALWAYS someone who knows.
