Well...I had a great day on Saturday...then a HORRIBLE one yesterday...and when I say great, I mean manicky...I'm so sick of cycling. Sooooo, I made a big decision. I'm going to ask pdoc today for Lamictal, and get off the Lexapro and Lithium. The Li I'm taking is only 300 mgs, which isn't doing much, but I cannot tolerate anything more than that. The Lex is making me cycle, period. I know that.
I have to deal with the depression until the Lamictal evens me out some.
I am also sick again. Our stupid weather! We are hot, then cold, then HOT, then really cold. Woke up this morning coughing...my friends are sick too.
Went to church yesterday even though I was completely depressed. Called friends, talked, tried to use distraction. I think I can do it without an a/d, and I'm so willing to try right now, cuz of the ultra rapid cycling mess I've been doing.
We'll see. Pdoc is at 11:30. Will update then.
Love to all,
Keli

keli i just want to wish you good luck with your pdoc appt today.
love you,
traci
I hope the pdoc works with you on this, let us know.
love u !
God could not be everywhere, so he created mothers.
God could not be everywhere, so
Maybe that is why new pdoc didn't want you on the Lexapro...she knew you would cycle or go into manic state. Lamictal has been good for me. I hope you are able to work something out with pdoc.
I will look for your update...good luck sweetie.
Love you,
Tina

Hi Keli ,
I know it is not easy put please try to stay strong.I been thinking about you and I wish you only the B E S T.
Please take care and stay safe.God bless you .
Keli, might try Wellbutrin if you haven't already. DS is EOBP ultra rapid cycler and the Wellbutrin with the Depakote has not caused cycling. He was on the Depakote for a good 2 or 3 yrs before pdoc added the Wellbutrin. That is something else I have noticed is sometimes the ms needs to be brought to a therapeutic dose BEFORE an a/d is added....I know, tough to think about now in the state your in, but something to think about.
Good luck with your pdoc,
tk
