I think that part of bp is based on personality types and I want to see if im right. Will ya'll please do this for me and post your results....I would soooo appreciate it.
Go to http://similarminds.com/personality_tests.html and take the Jung's personality test and post what four letter personality type you are.
If you are interested, this next site gives you a lot of detailed information about each type..pick an icon at the top and scroll down to the bottom and click on your type and it brings up a page specifically dedicated to that topic and your type.
The website for that is www.personalitypage.com
This is one of my favorite parts of social psychology and I am interested to see if it works out. I initially thought of it because I did mine and I am an INTJ and it turns out only 2.9% of the population has this same personality type, and since the figures for bp are relatively similar, it makes me wonder if personality has something to do with it.
For ya'll that are thinking this is some hokey kid crap, its not. Carl Jung, the guy who is credited with alot of this is a pyschologist and it is something I learned in my social psych class and its proven that this is pretty accurate and your personality type stays pretty stable throughout your lifetime.
Thanks in advance
Rebekah

Hi Rebekah,
I just studied Jung in my Personailty and developemnt psych class. I read a book called Boundaries of the Soul about Jungs way of analysis. Got an A on my book report on that and did real well with Jung. The only thing about personaility types with Jungs method is we change through our life spand. Jung was Introverted as a child and became Extroverted later in his career. It is all pretty fun though to see where your personality is basically now. I am more Introvereted but have a balance with extroversion as well.
Alot of entertainers are Extroverted sensing types.
This was cool you putting this on here.
I thought the whole thing with collective unconscious and archetypes was cool with Jung too. He is a little out there but what theorist isn't...lol They have all contributed to our world of psychology though. I studied. Freud, Jung, Skinner, Rogers, Frankl, Horney(pronounced horn eye), Perlz, Maslow, May and a few others. It was a little bit of Freudian, Humanistic, Exisitential and Behaviorist. I love psychology. I have taken 4 psych classes and one sociology class. I can't wait to take more. Though I am glad this semester is done.

I am an INFP, "Questor", 4.4% of the population.
I seem to remember taking a test like this once when I was manic, and then I scored as an extrovert. That had to be inaccurate, as I also have Asperger's, which comes with a marked social impairment.

Tina, I am a musician, and I am neither Extroverted nor Sensing.
But I don't know if I actually qualify as an "entertainer". I am an artist. And I see playing Beethoven symphonies is more than entertaining the population. It is speaking a language of emotion and form, saying for instance that you are cold and hungry and tired (depressed.)

here's my results. they're pretty close

That is interesting because artist are usually sensing people. I am artistic and love the arts.
Sensing tells people something exists
thinking- recognizes meaning
feeling- gives value or worth
intuitive- knowledge without knowing how you know.

I know I tested as intuitive, but I believe I know how I know. I know because I perceive. I can meet a person, or start to learn a piece of music and start to get feelings about him/her or it that turn out to be dead on. I feel...KNOW that there are messages in that music, and I tell people what those messages are when I play.
I should point out that I have had some success as a musician- I have earned a master's in conducting, and have had many of my instructors say that my strength lied in my emotion and interpretive skills.

You are awesome. Music is such a wonderful way to express yourself. It is a great gift to have. Be thankful, as I can see you are. There are so many people who wish they had a way to express their inner self like this or in some other way. That is great your instructors see your talent and tell you they see it.
Keep up all the great work.
Hugs,
Tina
