What does a tdoc do for you?

I have been wondering if I should start seeing a tdoc that specializes in mood disorders? (the only other one I have been to specialized more in relationships) I have times when I feel like I want to vent and/or talk through some things, but don't want to with DW for several reasons....a big one is, she just doesn't deserve to hear the mean things I am feeling AT THAT time, but don't mean AT ALL, hope that makes sense. So back to my thread title, does a tdoc help with these episodes? What exactly does a tdoc do for ya'll?
Thanks in advance,
tk

Sometimes my tdoc acts as a "disinterested party" check system/validation when I'm feeling upset about something;
i'm with marci on this one. having a tdoc is invaluable at times when you need to get things off your chest that you don't want other people to be privy to and don't want to hurt the other
