I am about to lose it. I got up to go to work early and my durango wouldn't start, I am about to cry. What next? Why mem Why now? Steve get paid tomorrow and we have to pay the elec, cable the vet and his insurance. The nest month is so stressful with dad, money and the bills piling up. I had to wake dad today and ask him if I could take is car to work. I have no idea what wrong with my truck. I am hoping its just a battery. But still they are expensive.
Just when we start to get some money in. The buspr doesnt seem to be working today at all and I have been getting headaches left and right. Today is a day

Seems your having the same luck I seem to be having this month. 1St puppy jumped off step and broke her leg - bill $1,600 which we have to finance. My son's car broke down - bill $525 - he used his x-mas money. I had to have a root canal - $820. Then last Friday one of my best friends and my number 1 support system over the last 12 years - committed sucide. Somehow took too much Xanax (0.50 at least too much for me) and ended up in the emergency room (God only knows how much that bill is) Woke up Tuesday morning, made this stupid remark to my husband that I hoped we didn't have to deal with anything else the rest of this year, and on his way to work his car broke down in the middle of the express way, he had it towed to the house and picked up a friend that knows about cars, came home 4 hrs later and the refrigerator had quit.

The good news is after looking at his car his friend discovers the air filter was in pieces (seems we have field mice that were using the material for a nest) Only the cost of an air filter to fix and suprise, suprise the home applicance warranty we've been paying for over the last 15 years is replacing our refrigerator with a new one - no cost to us.

I've got my fingers crossed that is how your day will end. The last two days have been good (I'm basing this on the fact that no one has left me and nothing has broken down) I sure hope I haven't tempted fate here.

We are going to have a wonderful rest of the year, I figured if we keep repeating this it will become true.

Hang in there.

I few questions on your Durango. What year is it? What engine does it have? Does the thing even crank or just chatter or just crank REALLLY slow?

"I know God would never give me anything I couldn't handle, but sometimes I wish He didn't trust me so much!"

--Mother Theresa

What God thinks we can handle and what we think we can are two different things, but if you happen to be a believer, trust Him. If not, disregard this post.

my durango is a 1999, 4x4 v8 magnium. It sounds like it wants to start but just cant turn over. I am thinking it is the battery. We havent put one in it since we got it. I am praying thats all it is.

I have(well DW bought, I pay the payment LOL) an '05 with the 5.7 Hemi and every once in awhile I find I have to press on the accelarator while I am cranking it. I know, you aren't supposed to have to do that with the fuel injected cars, but the Hemi pulls that every once in awhile. It sounds suspicously like your problem if I am reading your post right.>>>It sounds like it wants to start but just cant turn over.<<<< I take that to mean it is cranking fine with the starter, it just won't fire off and run. Worth a shot. Once I get it running it runs fine and starts fine for quite awhile. It seems to be about once a month or once every other month. Out of warranty, so I have to start trying to figure that out here soon if it gets worse.

I did it again made it all about me - really I was trying (I'm such an idoit sometimes) to let you know that it will get better. That it's hard to dwell on anything but the bad things. (I'm giving out this advice - but so do not follow it)

Again I'm sorry - I reread my post - what an idoit I am.

Hang in there.
