Hey Everyone,

Just thought I'd pop in to let those of you who were following my situation w/my DH know that DH is going in for the C-pap fitting tonight. We should have his C-pap equipment set up at home within the next 5 days so we will be able to see if him getting a better nights sleep helps his mood swings. If the C-pap doesn't make a difference, the next step will be making a doc. appointment. It's just so hard to get him in to see a doc. because of his hrs. The only free time he has is Saturday afternoons. Not a lot of doc. office are open on Saturdays. One step at a time I guess. I'll let you know what happens.

Hi, there--

I hope this works out for your dh! My husband has been on his C-pap for about 2 months now, and it's made a huge difference with his quality of sleep. Did you have a sleep study done? The one dh had done showed that he never even hit REM sleep until after 5:00 a.m. because of how often he stopped breathing. At one point he had all the electrode wires so tangled up that they had to come in and redo them. Needless to say, I wasn't sleeping well, either. :o)

How did it go?

Hi Heidi,

Yes, my DH has had a sleep study and that's why he went in for his fitting w/the C-pap. DH said that he slept like a baby. The tech told him that he didn't snore once all night and DH said that he felt so much better after having a good nights sleep. I know what you mean about them keeping you up w/their snoring and abnormal breathing...ugh! It's gotten to the point that my DH has been sleeping in another room because I was getting hardly any sleep and I kept waking him up to have him roll over so that he wasn't snoring in my ear. When we were sleeping in the same bed, neither on of us got a good nights sleep. I can't tell you how happy I am that he will have his new C-pap machine within a week or so and he will be able to come back to our bedroom and sleep with me again. Now I just hope that this helps with his mood swings a memory. Time will tell.
