Okay, I have to set some goals and get my butt in gear. Anderson might be coming on holidays with us in July, and I don't want to look awful in my swimsuit out by the pool. LOL

So goals for June

  • Eat Protein High breakie as per 4-Hour Body book
  • Cardio days 2x per week
  • Weights 3x per week
  • Keep off Dairy & Coffee (well keep coffee to an absolute minimum once colitis has died down)

-------------------------------

So haven't really tracked food - it's been so-so. A bit snacky, but now I'm coming into PMS time, so I really need to keep it under control.

Exercise has been pretty good!

June 1 - Gardening, hauling dirt (30 Min)

June 2 - Chest & Back Workout (40 Min)

June 3 - Bike to work & Run W1D1 C25K(128 Min)

June 4 - Legs and Abs Workout (68 Min)

Uh-oh - How are you going to do the C25K if you're only doing cardio 2x a week?

Your exercise for the month looks great though!

Vanessa, I figure with the biking, and the odd run I could do on the weekend, plus other workouts I can probably be in good shape for our 5K in August. Those two days are my cardio heavy days - bike to work, and run at lunch.

This weekend was a bust food wise, but good exercise wise. I got in a workout Friday (legs workout), Saturday was cleaning (washing the floor was the workout portion lol) and Sunday (driving range, and circuit workout). I still need to pull everything together and get more organized I think, start tracking a bit more closely. It's going to be tough since I get every Friday off this month and I seem to be treating my three day weekends like a free-for-all!

Well week is not off to a good start. It was our girls night out, which meant Bellini's and snacks, but we did have salads, and then kept the snacks pretty reasonable. No exercise as we went straight from work, and then today has been nothing but rain and I do my final exam for my fitness certification, so we'll see how that goes!

Food was just alright. But I need to get back into a normal routine for more than just a day at a time! I really don't do well when things aren't structured or the same routine.

Isn't it fun to just dig in the dirt?! What sort of herbs are you planting? My MIL plants basil and then makes lots of pesto in the fall and freezes it in ice cube trays for handy portions sizes. I really want to try that but I've not had great luck with herbs before...

You have your Fridays off for the month - woo hoo! It sounds like you'r getting some awesome exercise in and it's great that your gf is going to do a 5k with you. I'm sure you'll be great motivation for her!

So... Anderson is going on the vacay with you? :)

Well it's been too rainy to do much digging! I'm planting rosemary, lime basil, regular basil, chives, mint, and I'm not sure what else! The freezing pesto is a good idea! The plan is for Anderson to come along, but there are a few job issues that are up in the air, so I'm guessing it will depend on that. I hope so though!

Well yesterday was so-so food wise (had pie at lunch, and a pita for dinner). BUT I did get out and make myself go for a run!

I had to do my evaluation for my certification and Matt was my "client" that I had to use for the demo. He was pretty good, just a little whiny. LOL But I passed!! So then I went home poured a glass of wine, and thought - 'Nope, you can get your butt out for a run first". So I went and did Week 1 Day 2 of the program, but I made sure I ran through every second walk period to make it a bit more of a challenge. So then I came home, showered and got to have my glass of wine! I found this red wine at a wine tasting that has a hint of coffee to it - no wonder I'm liking it! LOL

Right now the garden is just dirt - it's been too cold and rainy to get anything in! Oooh, beer or wine BEFORE the run! I like it! LOL

As for my certification - I will just be providing individual programs to clients at the YMCA. Unless I challenge one of the certification organizations, my certification is only good at the Y - which is fine. And yes I'd love to whip Matt into shape! Maybe I need to get Anderson on the job LOL

Okay, well weekend was so-so. I got in a good workout, and did some work in the back yard, and went to a barbecue on the weekend. This month I am taking every Friday off, which is awesome, but I'm not sure how I'll manage with having to go back to 5 day work weeks!

I have to get my food under control. I have these little binges where I eat everything in sight, and then the rest of my meals are fine. But the little binges are killing me!

You are so lucky to have all those Fridays off! A 3 day weekend every week! Woo-hoo! Maybe you can try scheduling your workouts for 1st thing each day and maybe it will make it a little easier to make better food choices the rest of the day.
