I may be facing a Major Med Change!

I'm scheduled to go for blood tests to check my Lithium levels and whatever ancillary blood tests they do at the same time.

I am glad they found out that you could be in danger of liver disease and they can help prevent it from going full blown. I know changing meds is a scary thought when you found a cocktail that works. I really hope they find that lowering your dose of the Lithium will do the trick and keep you stable.
How is the process going for the lapband?
Good luck in both these areas! You are heading in the right direction in taking care of Marci.
Hugs,
Tina

Yeah, I know it's good that they caught it early, I just went through such hell finding the right combo before--I am not looking forward to doing it again--especially when the rest of my life seems to finally getting in order!
As far as the lapband--I'm sure now I want it, just hope this liver enzymes thing doesn't prevent me from doing so, although the increased blood pressure is another co-morbidity to add to my already substantial list--SIGH/LOL.
I take lithium and my liver and kidneys are getting messed up.
I refuse to take any new meds becuase I am stable.
In the end it's up to you good luck.

Live life well & Always look ahead.
Sorry to hear that you may have to change your meds. :-( I hope that it all turns out good for you. I am changing my lithium from pill form to liquid form and I never realized that it would make me feel different, being the same med and all. I have to have my levels tested next week to see how my body is reacting to the change. My liver enzymes are also a little high, I am hoping that losing weight and going down on the lithium will help.
Glad to hear things are going well in your process with the lap-band. I finally got my surgery date for my lap-rny, it's May 7th. That is why I am changing to liquids on my meds.
Good luck to you!
Judy
Glad you've got everything lined up for your lapband, I wish you luck on it!
