Weirdest 22 minutes of my life

I haven't been able to sleep all night. Suddenly things start to look different. First I'm playing an imaginary recorder (something like a very simplified clarinet). But then I actually make a note with it. My husband takes it away from me cause he's trying to sleep. So I guess it wasn't imaginary. I'm trying to figure out where I got the recorder from when I started seeing flashing colors in front of my eyes. I then think I'm hallucinating. When that clears and I start noticing differences in our house. It's newer. Bigger. There's Christmas trees up and there's snow on the ground outside the window. About this time I wake DH and our kids. They see the same things I do and seem just as mystified by it as I do. So the hallucination idea doesn't seem plausible. Our kids look a little older. And my middle child claims a different birthday (March instead of June), but the oldest still says her right birhday, September. Then just as suddenly I wake up. It didn't dawn on me until I woke up that it was a dream. Only 22 minutes have past. And sleep now escapes me once again. So 22 minutes of sleep was all I got. That is *the* weirdest dream I've ever had.

Don't you just love those "altered realtity" dreams (that's my name for them, nothing scientific)?
