Saw my pdoc yesterday-although she is concerned over my liver enzymes and kidney issues, she agrees that for now, they are not so severe that I need to make an immediate change.

Marci,

I don't know how it is where you live but I know here in Maryland most doctors take medicare therefore I can call any specialist and go to one and my insurance will pay. Also, I would get another darn primary care doc. This one you have sucks and doesn't seem like she is helping much. You have health issues that need to be taken care of immediately. Your PCP now hasn't givin you the proper care you have needed and I believe some of these issues could have been avioded if she had givin you proper treatement. It is very important to get your diabetes under control and your high blood pressure. Please don't wait for your PCP to get off her a$$ and do something. Get another doc who will help you.

Good luck and I hope you don't get anymore bad news.

I wish you luck on getting this all striaght. I know Medicare makes you go to a center of excellence for the lapband....for any weight loss surgery.

I am so fortunate to live in Maryland and have the medical selection I do. It sounds like you don't have much selection in your area and it also sounds like the docs that you have had aren't too good. That really sucks and I hope that changes for you.

Hang in there.
