Well I have now been on it a week. I was first told to take 100mg but it was to strong so I cut it in half for the last 4 day's and didnt have the drug hang over like before. SO I took it last night the entire pill & although I passed out in my work closthes lol I didn't feel like a Zombie. I'm so glad I kept with it WHOO hOO :)
I seen some one say they started out 100mg & upto 200mgs a day I found a website that say's that it should be started in low amounts and increased over time & that each dosage that goes up you COULD see the same side effects again. I hope it's okay to add the link. Now I have some side effects & its hard to say there from the Seroquel as I'm also taking the lithium 300mgs 2xs a day & Lamictal 25mgs 1x a day. I have blurred vision time to time, light headed & sometimes dizzy and my mind feels foggy. A slight headache but its odd feeling to be honset I feel odd lol. But I'll give it time. I do fall asleep & don't get up like I was :) & I think once my body gets use to it I'll be oaky I'll give it 30 days' if I still feel this odd I'll let him know on 6/13.

good morning sweetie.. I was reading your post and noticed that you were having the same sypmtons my SO had a long time ago.. you, like him were also taking several meds. Make sure you talk to your doc soon if this continues, and keep on the meds. My SO couldnt handle how they made him feel, so instead of telling his doc he just stopped taking everything and went unmedicated for about 7 years. scary I know. I did not know him then, we have been together for 4 and a half years and I just found out he had bi-polar. His keeping it from me almost cost him our marriage. Iwould not have known to this day if he had been more careful and continued to cover his tracks so to speak.
My mom was bi polar and they had to work to find meds that worked for her. it took a while and a lot of side effects later she was doing better.
anyway.. good luck...
It does have a lot off side effects avnd can make you sick.
It makes me crave sugar bad.
Well good luck w/ it.
It's a good drug if you really need it it helps me a lot.

Live life well & Always look ahead.
My doctor started me at 50mg but only 3 doses of it then onto 100mg(twice a day). I did have several side effects, but nothing too bothersome except the sleepiness and the leg thing(read my other post), I was to take it in the morning and at night. But after
Harmony,
Be careful with the lithium, in and of itself. The side effects you described are symptoms very much like the ones I had when I was on it, and it turned out that the lithium was toxic to my system. You may want to call your pdoc on Monday instead of waiting the 30 days, as you have planned. See what he/she has to say. It may be nothing, or a combination of the meds, or just temporary side effects. I will hope for you that it is just temporary side effects. I just want to make you aware of the lithium side effects, although rare, they are possible. If you start hallucinating call pdoc RIGHT AWAY!!! Slurred speech and staggering are also symptoms. People thought I was drunk, even though I don't drink. Just some things to look for. I always think of that when I see someone new is taking that med and describing symptoms similar to those that I was. Mine got so bad that I went to the ER on my tdocs urging. So give your pdoc a call on Monday and make him aware of the side effects you are experiencing just to make sure what you are going through is a combination or is temporary or if one of your meds need to be tweaked. Like I said before, my mind jumps to the worst everytime I see the word lithium. It may be nothing to worry about.
Keep us posted on what's going on. We're to support you in any way possible:)
Hugs,
Traci
Thanks Traci (HUGS) for thinking of me like that! I too was worried so I called Saturday :) He's cool like that & it was a ? on my
Harmony,
I had those exact side effects on anything above 100 mgs of Seroquel...the "hang over" feeling never went away for me though. You get more used to it, but I was always drugged out feeling. Sucked, but the med worked otherwise for the symptoms it was to be treating.
Hugs,
