Hi Everybody! I come here every once in awhile to get encouragement and get advice. You ladies are wonderful. Thank You! As you all know I am Bipolar and have an ANxiety Disorder as well! Well....here's my drama!

I am a BIG girl and have lost some weight and am not used to men paying any attention to me. Well, I have befriended a man at a bible study who is Bipolar. He is way worse than I am (he gets violent when manic). Anyway, he asked me out on a date on Monday and I told him that I just wanted to be friends. Well, we made plans to go out tomorrow as friends. He called me this morning and told me he had a dream that we got married. The creep factor shot up to the roof on that one. I called him back, told him that I just wanted to be friends AGAIN and told him that I would be more comfortable going out in a group of people. I think I did it in such a manner that didn't hurt his feelings.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes!! Listen to your gut of the creep factor. A man who gets violent may have a tendency to become your stalker and beyond.

I would say you did. When it comes to men, it is best to stay in your comfort zone and do what is best for you. It sounds to me like you have a good sense of that. This guy might be quite harmless, but then again he might not, so if you don't want to take any chances, that might be a good thing.

I agree, you did the right thing. Whether or not his feelings were hurt, it's always best to do what your gut tells you to do regarding protecting yourself and keeping yourself comfortable.
