Lamictal ? - foods/meds that interfere?

I'm just curious if anyone is aware of any OTC drugs or foods that could interfere with how Lamictal works?

I've been on Lamictal for a while now and I haven't found anything that interferes. Talk to your pharmacist...they are SO awesome about this kind of thing.
Hugs!

I checked my home PDR and Medline and there doesn't appear to any foods that cause problems, other than to mention to your doc if you are allergic to saccarhine (sp?) if you're taking the chewable Lamictal Tablets (I'm guessing the chewables are made with it).
Lamictal may inhibit the action of Sulfa drugs like Bactrim, Proloprim and Septra (anti-bacterials).
I don't think that there are any foods that interact, but I HAVE noticed that while
taking Lamictal, I have become a "lightweight" when it comes to
alcohol. One drink=tipsy:) Also, Benadryl seems to have a stronger sedative
effect than usual....(may be good for insomnia, but could also be iffy on safety to mix
with Lamictal.)
Thanks for all of the great replies! I really appreciate it. :)
One of the reasons I asked was because when I was first put on Lamictal, I was told that I needed to carry identification that stated I was taking the medication. My Rx bottles no longer carry the warning, so I was just curious.
I would have asked my Dr, but I usually only see him for about 15 min and I forget to ask.
Thanks again!
Kari
I also noticed the same thing about the warning. I should write myself a note and ask my pdoc, too.
