hey there, so im having a really hard time this week, not sure exactly why, but i want it to go away.

i did lose my health insurance for 3 weeks and really had to stretch the meds...sometimes taking less than prescribed, but now i have my insurance back and on full force. but since i went full force again i feel worse. the doctor said i should have been alright because i was only skimping for 2 out of the 3 weeks, and before i did this i felt great and i was on

Hi Tracy, sorry it took me awhile to posts. I am having a hard time too emotionally and physically.

I know it is hard to handle the cost of meds. Have you tried applying for assistance through the pharmacutical companies that make the meds? They offer you a reduced rate or free meds based on income. Do you have your insurance back now?

The thing with psych meds is they build up in your system and when we stop taking them at some point they can rush out like a flood gate and then we feel the bipolar symptoms come back. Sometimes it takes a week or two for that to happen. It just takes time again to build the meds back up when we start them again. I hope you feel better soon.

I have been having problems with my sleep schedule. I think that is affecting my symptoms.

Again, I hope you are feeling better. Check out that program through the pharmacutical companies if you don't have insurance back yet. My mom did it and it helped her a lot.

Take care Tracy,

Tina

Have you tried to go for a walk or exercise at home to keep your mind off things and use up a little energy. Walking is usually what my doc advises me to do. Doesn't always work and don't always feel like it, but does help. Other ideas journaling, call a friend to talk. Are you able to take something to help you sleep at night. I know that helps me, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to get to sleep.
