I could probably tell my pdoc I'm going to go jump off the James River bridge and he'd just say "that's nice.

UUMMMM I am thinking the spending spree was a much safer route. On your roof, good thing I wasn't around I am a panic if the kids or dh try to climb a tree :). Seriously you be careful.

On the pdoc topic. There are visits I think she really cares and wants to know and then once in a while like my last visit when I told her I still was not right it was like her mood changed. Sent me for bw to ck the level of my ms and then upped my does so I am not at the 1/2 way mark of dosage level.

Jodie, I am sorry your experiences with pdocs have not been good ones. I have had many pdocs myself and I have only had 2 that were real good. The one I have now is great and I am hoping he never retires. My tdoc is in the same office as him and I love her too.

If this pdoc isn't helping you then you NEED to go to the ER. Being up on a roof is life threatening and you need help now. Speeding in your car can hurt someone other than yourself. I am sure if there were and accident and you killed a child it would sent you into deep depression or insanity for a very long time. Not something anyone would want to live with.

You owe it to your DD, others kids and other people's safety and to yourself and DH to go get help. STOP sitting back and letting the pdoc you have now get away with not treating you. Reach out to any other doc that will help.

No one can do this but

You are definately manic ! When we are in this state we don't think straight. You may not mean to hurt anyone else but that doesn't mean you won't. I hope you do decide

Jodie,

I can only imagine how you must feel about your pdoc.

Jodie, I know you don't like feeling like this. I know when we get caught in these episodes it can be so hard to dig out of them.

I know you live in Virginia. I am not sure about what other hospitals that may be around other than the one you go to in your particular area. I have family that lives in Virginia.

Is there another hospital you know of or can find out about that isn't the one in your immediate area that you can call for help? Is there another pdoc outside your area that you can go to or another one in your area you can go to so you can get better care?

Yes, those who have BTDT will understand. I have been there with a lot of what you are going through. I do know getting the proper treatment is so important and can make all the difference. That is why I wish I could help you find this help. I want you to feel better about yourself and your life....about life in general. It is hard to do when this illness has such a big hold on you. The thing is we need to be are own advocates
