I know how much it hurts because even though I am Native American,I have had my fair share of sunburns not just on my arm,but on my whole body,OWIE!! *Winnie Cringes just thinking about the pain* I hope I don't offend you by offering some advice but there are some things that you should and shouldn't do when it comes to dealing with sunburns or hick tans as some people call them!!

1.If your sunburn is so severe that you see blisters,NEVER EVER pop the blisters because it can cause infection! If you have blisters go STRAIGHT TO THE HOSPITAL and have a doctor look at it!! NEVER EVER use things such as butter, burn cream,Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly),or any other old wives tales on getting rid of the pain of the burn!! The things like butter,Vaseline, and burn cream that your doctor HAS NOT PRESCRIBED,can actually cause more harm than good! ALWAYS check with a doctor if your sunburn is so severe, you can see blisters forming!

2.Cool Compresses will help ease the pain, but DO NOT stick your arm into ice water because it could cause you to go into shock!! You can take wash cloths or any kind of clean cloth and run it under some cool water, wring it out,and apply it to your sunburn!

3.Sometimes things like Aloe Vera will help take the sting out of a burn and help with the healing process.

4.If you are running a fever ASK YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU TAKE any kind of over the counter medications such as,Tylenol,Excedrin,Alleve,Advil,etc.. Generally Tylenol or some other over the counter pain reliever can be taken as long as you ask your doctor first!!

5.In the USA we have a product called,"Solarcaine,"which is a spray that you can apply to your skin if you have a sunburn, but it should NEVER be sprayed on ANY SUNBURN that looks severe such as seeing blisters,or if you are running a really high temperature (Fever). I know that I sound like I am preaching this but if you are not sure what products are safe and which aren't safe for sunburns ALWAYS ASK your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure!!

I hope that I have helped and please let us know how you are doing!! I am sending (((LOTS AND LOTS OF GET WELL BEAR HUGS YOUR WAY TODAY!!)))))) Take Care and I hope you feel better really soon!! Winnie *WINKS* ;-)

Eeks! Sorry to hear you got a sunburn, Hanna! I hope you are feeling better today!

We haven't really had enough sun for me to get a sunburn yet. I guess I could have gotten one today, but I've been inside with my BF while he packed to head off to Norway for a few days (for a work conference).

It's supposed to be 26 and 27C the next few days!!!!

OMG!! That's hot!! And it's not even midsummer yet!!! You're going to die in that heat, girl! I know me and the BF would be!

Nope, he left an hour ago. *sniff*

He forgot to exchange money before the weekend...And didn't want to leave the house yesterday.. So today while he was reading the text TV news.. he saw that Norway's banks are going on strike Monday! ROFL! and of course, all ATMs (money machines) will be out of cash because everyone is preparing for banks not being open.. And since my guy has no norwegian money.. he's sort of screwed! LOL

He did with draw some euros and will hopefully find somewhere to exchange it. But if not, one of the guys he is traveling with (there's three of them going to the conference) has enough money for the 3 of them to at least get the bus ride from the airport to the hotel.

Silly guy! I hope he survives. :)
