Hmmm, well they say a discharge with odor isn't a good thing, so you probably should call your doctor and be seen in case you have an infection. If it were odorless, or a mild odor only, I'd say it could just be old blood that finally is coming out...and that still could be the case, but usually it wouldn't have an awful odor.

{{{HUGS}}} I'm sorry all of this is going on.

Normally once you have the surgery, you're not going to bleed, but the brown color discharge very well could be old blood. Once I had the surgery 1 year ago, the bleeding was over by the next day. Just take it easy.

I got my 1st period exactly 28 days after my surgery, and we had to wait 2-3 cycles before trying to get pregnant again.

This board is helpful. Just let us know when you are ready to talk about it all.

**hugs**

Not finish the sentence. Can't stand this odor. Still have a brown discharge. How long did you have the discharge after surgery?

I don't recall exactly how long my discharge/spotting lasted. It probably varies, depending on how thickly your uterine wall had built up to be among other things. It shouldn't last forever...I would think a week or two at most, and hopefully the shorter of the two options. {{{HUGS}}} Hope you're feeling ok.

I think every woman has a different experience with the first period. Mine wasn't particularly awful, but I didn't lose a tube either so I can't speak for those who can. I've heard of some women having awful periods, and others having a fairly normal period. The length of time it takes to get your period can also vary, but usually within 3 months your cycles should have resumed normally.

How are you doing/feeling this month? Now when I got my cycle back, I was in no more pain than I would have been normally & I lost my whole left side. The only noticeable thing for me was that I went from 28days to 24.
