How do you cook for 11/2?
| Fri, 08-04-2006 - 4:06pm |
I'm sorry I haven't been no much lately. I'm going through a very tough time. Michael and I have separated. Let's just say I was doing all the giving and he was doing all the taking. I will admit I'm a bit sad but I'm trying to stay postive. Like for example the home I am renting is a Frank Lloyd Wright design, Alyssa is attending a wonderful school, my house is cleaner, and I can come and go as I please. But cooking is where I am having a problem.........how do you cook for 11/2?~Chasity

I was "involuntarily unspoused" too when my husband died.
I loved garlic, herbs, eggplant and fresh spinach as kid.
Individual or "for 2" cooking and serving dishes are common in the restaurant biz.
Isn't such things great?
This month if I can afford I will buy smaller souffle bowl!
The tip about the George Foreman grill is great, Gaye.
Hi dear.
I am so sorry to hear about your separation, it is always such a painful time. Been through that, and still adjusting 4 yrs later (ok, I am slow).
I am also everyday cooking for 1 1/2.. although most of the time there is also the Au-Pair - only way to cope with child care where I live. that does not really makes cooking easier.
most of the times, i cook for the "kids" a plain meal, and then snack.. health wise not good, I know, but I don't fancy the plain stuff, and often am not hungry when I get home from work - too tired and nervous.
FLW did fantastic houses, I am sure yours is one of those... he did have a good concept and life-style down pat.
Please write again - I am sure you will be doing fine, but let us know.
Love Chiara
