When I saw this,I started to sob!

As you all know I have a seven year old daughter named Winnie 2. Anyway,I have been working ALOT of hours lately, and what she did last night just brought me to tears, literally! I came home from work cussing underneath my breath because I just knew that there was ALOT of dishes that had to get done and quite frankly,I just didn't feel like doing them! As all of you can relate, when you work full-time you are just exhausted and you don't have the energy to do anything else when you get home from work!! When I walked into the kitchen and turned on the light,my kitchen was CLEAN! That's right,my little Winnie 2 had done ALL of the dishes because she wanted to,not because she had to! I am telling you when I saw this I just started to sob, because it meant so much to me!! My DH told me that he washed and took care of all of the sharp knives and anything that might break, and he let Winnie 2 wash the rest of the dishes such as the plastic bowls, plastic cups and the spoons and forks! When I saw how hard my family worked on cleaning the house for me,I just burst into tears! I am telling you that this meant so much to me because they did it because they wanted to help me out,not because they had to! They made sure that the kitchen was neat and clean and my DH even made sure the top of the stove was clean and neat too! The floor was swept and the garbage was taken out after they had eaten dinner, and a fresh trash bag was in the trash can! ;-)

Winnie 2 did such a good job on the dishes and I am so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful family that loves me and cares about me so much! Our house that we are renting is very old and the wiring wouldn't be able to handle a dishwasher or a washer and dryer,so that is why we have to do our dishes by hand, and take our clothes to the laundry mat! My DH joked with me and asked if I was suffering from PMS because I was just so overcome with emotion! I just laughed and said,"No,it was just such a sweet thing of you all to do for me,it just brought tears to my eyes!" Since I have tomorrow off,I will try not to get stuck in rabbit's house again, that darn Tigger tricks me everytime!! Winnie *Giggles* and *Laughs* What is some of the sweetest or most heartwarming things that your children or family have ever done for you?? Winnie ;-)

I gave Winnie 2 lots of hugs and kisses for helping me out! Today while she was visiting a friend of hers from school,I made up a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies for her! I couldn't wait to see the look on her face when she came home this afternoon,it was priceless! Winnie 2 said,"Oh mommy, did you bake some of your homemade chocolate chip cookies just for me?" I gave her a great big hug and kiss and said,"Yes I did!" I explained to Winnie 2 that since her and her dad(My DH),did such a wonderful job of cleaning the kitchen and the rest of the house for me,I wanted to return the favor by baking them a special batch of my homemade chocolate chip cookies! My DH and Winnie 2 were so surprised and happy, they each ate three cookies! I don't know if it is because I have a daughter or what, but Winnie 2 has always been so sweet and caring when it comes to thinking of other people! She has never shown a selfish tendency even when she was in the,"Terrible Two,"stage and she has always loved to give me and my DH lots of hugs. Winnie 2 always puts other people ahead of herself and she is always telling the special people in her life how much she loves them such as her favorite teachers, friends, and DH and I.Winnie 2 has a special gift for wanting to make other people happy and she always is telling the special people in her life how much she loves them and cares about them!

I agree Karen that it really makes a parent feel good knowing that their children and family are kind and caring enough to help out around the house, when they know you are working long hours! I can honestly tell you that it makes my heart feel good knowing that Winnie 2 doesn't have one selfish, greedy, bone in her body! Winnie 2 is doing great in school and her first grade teacher said that she is one of the smartest first graders that she has ever seen! In fact,Winnie 2 just got a 100(A+),on her very first spelling test and some of the words were really hard to spell, especially for a first grader!! Winnie *Beams with pride when she talks about her bear cub Winnie 2* Winnie *SMILES* and *BLUSHES* ;-)

That's sweet that your little one wants to do something to make your day better.

That is such a sweet thing Winnie! And definitely does call for some tears of happiness!

My friends are my family here in Finland. And they threw me a suprise 30th b-day party. That was the best party I've ever had and it was such a suprise. I was so shocked and dumb founded over it that I too started crying!

When you said "Winnie 2 doesn't have one selfish, greedy, bone in her body!", it reminded me of the time my stepmom told my little sister (she was about 4-5 years at the time) that she didn't have a mean bone in her body. My sis said "Yes I do!" and proceeded to point to her elbow that had been broken a year or so earlier.
